Photographing people in the genre known as street photography is something I particularly enjoy. Recently I was asked by a friend from design school days to photograph his company’s event, – ‘The New Zealand Jewellery Show‘. Grant’s brief was simple: photograph in your own style, show people interacting, doing business, and enjoying the process.
Photographers may be interested in knowing, the camera was a Canon 5D Mk2 with a Cosina Voigtlander 40mm F2.0 lens. I manually pre-focused, generally about 2.0 metres, and moved about continuously, anticipating moments : : peter
